Sagrada Família Guided Tour, Barcelona
Overview
Work on the Sagrada Família began in 1882, and Antoni Gaudí gave the rest of his life to it. In 2026 the central Tower of Jesus Christ reached its full height of 172.5 metres, making the basilica the tallest church in the world.
With a guide you start outside at the Nativity façade, the part Gaudí saw built, where every stone tells a story from the birth of Christ. Then step inside, where columns branch like trees towards the ceiling and the stained-glass windows wash the nave in blue and green on one side and red and orange on the other. You finish at the stark, angular Passion façade by Josep Maria Subirachs, a complete contrast.
The Nativity façade and crypt are part of the UNESCO-listed Works of Antoni Gaudí. Tower visits are a separate ticket and can be added when available.
