Castries, Morne Fortune & Marigot Bay Island Tour
Overview
A relaxed half day that shows you the capital and one of the Caribbean's prettiest bays, ideal if you're staying in the north and want a taste of the island without a long drive.
Start in Castries at the busy Central Market, with its stalls of spices, cocoa sticks, hot sauces and crafts. The road then climbs Morne Fortune, the hill above the town, for wide views over the harbour and the north of the island, with your guide filling in the history of the forts that once guarded it.
The tour continues south through the Roseau Valley to the lookout over Marigot Bay, a deep, palm-fringed inlet full of yachts. Some tours also stop at the fishing village of Anse La Raye.
