Overview

If you extend your trip to Boracay, give a day to the water around the island. Shared bangka boats leave from White Beach and follow the coast to the quieter corners and islets that you can't reach on foot.

A typical day includes a snorkelling stop over coral gardens, then Crystal Cove Island, a small private island with paths along the cliffs, two little coves and a sea cave to explore. Next comes Puka Beach on the north coast, named for the small shells once found in its sand, where the water is clear and the beach is far less busy than White Beach. Some tours also stop at Magic Island, with platforms for jumping into the sea, or include a beach lunch.

Timings and stops depend on the season, as the boats switch sides of the island when the wind changes. Entrance fees for Crystal Cove and Magic Island are usually paid separately.
