Bogotá Graffiti & Street Art Walking Tour
Overview
Bogotá's walls are an open-air gallery, and this walk shows you how to read them. A local guide leads a small group through La Candelaria and the centre, where huge murals cover houses, warehouses and whole street corners.
Along the way you'll learn who the city's best-known artists are, how to tell a tag from a commissioned mural, and the stories behind the images: Indigenous faces, political messages, animals and characters that recur across the city. Look out for the grinning fish of El Pez and the murals along the Eje Ambiental on Avenida Jiménez.
It's an easy, flat-ish walk of a couple of hours, and a great way to get your bearings in the old town on your first days in Bogotá.
