St Kitts Catamaran Cruise with Snorkelling and Lunch
Overview
See St Kitts from the water on a relaxed half-day sail along the sheltered Caribbean coast. From Basseterre harbour, the catamaran heads out past green hills, beach villas and white-sand bays, with Mount Liamuiga, the island's 1,156-metre volcano, rising above the coast.
Lunch is served on board, typically chicken or tuna salad with fries and the local banana bread, and the open bar keeps the rum punch, beer, juices and soft drinks coming. Then the boat drops anchor in a calm bay on the south of the island for about 45 minutes of snorkelling. Masks, snorkels and fins are provided, and the crew help first-timers get started. Look out for parrotfish, sergeant majors and sea fans on the reef.
The sail back north brings the best views of Basseterre and the hills, and you're back at your hotel by mid-afternoon.
