Central & Sheung Wan Food Tour
Overview
Hong Kong's best food is often in its smallest shops, and this walking tour takes you to them. In the old streets of Central and Sheung Wan, a local guide leads a small group from a dim sum corner to a family roast-meat restaurant, a wonton noodle shop and a tiny bakery where egg tarts come out of the oven still warm.
Along the way you try fresh juices and preserved fruits, finish with tea in a traditional tea house and hear how Cantonese food culture shaped the city. Between tastings you walk past dried-seafood shops, herbalists and temples that most visitors never find.
Tastings add up to a full meal, so come hungry. Tours don't run on Sundays and public holidays.
