Overview
Hotel Srinagar has welcomed guests since 1975 from Batase Danda, the 'windy hill' at the top of Tansen, at about 1,475 metres and half a kilometre from Srinagar Hill. To the north you look out over the Himalayan range; to the south, over the Madi valley towards the Terai plains.
Stay out on the terrace after sunset, when the snow peaks catch the last light. Rooms have balconies with views, and the hotel has a restaurant and bar and a coffee shop. The old streets of Tansen are about ten minutes away by car.
