Hacienda Combia

Hacienda Combia is a working coffee farm turned hotel in the hills of Quindío, about 30 minutes from Armenia, in the heart of Colombia's Coffee Triangle. The buildings follow the style of the region's old farmhouses, with tiled roofs and painted wooden balconies around a garden, and the estate looks out over the mountains of the Coffee Cultural Landscape.

Its signature experience is the coffee route, an interactive tour of ten stations that follows the bean from the plant to the cup, with tastings of the farm's coffee. Between tours, there's an infinity pool and hot tub with a view over the valley, a sauna and a spa offering massages and treatments.

The 38 rooms mix farmhouse character with modern comforts; Superior rooms have a private bathroom and flat-screen TV, and some open onto balconies. The restaurant serves breakfast and regional dishes on an open-air terrace, and there's a bar, gardens and a children's play area.
