The Escape is a small, adults-only hideaway of 40 suites at Hughes Point, on the sheltered waters of Nonsuch Bay on Antigua's east coast. It sits on the far side of the hill from the main Nonsuch Bay Resort, about 40 minutes by road from the airport, and it is built for couples who want privacy.
Every suite has its own plunge pool, a day bed and an outdoor soaking tub, with a king-size bed, a walk-in shower and double vanity inside. Garden View suites look over green hillside and mangroves; Bay View suites face the water.
All meals are served at Drift Restaurant & Bar, which is only for Escape guests: breakfast, lunch and dinner with cocktails, overlooking the bay. Paddle a kayak from the jetty, join a nature walk or cool off in the infinity pool. A shuttle takes you to the beach and beach bar at the main resort, and a boat runs to the beaches of an offshore island for a small local charge.
