All Around South Korea
Overview
History, food, coastlines and cities across one far-reaching Korean journey. This multicentre programme is a wide-ranging introduction to South Korea: palaces and city landmarks, coastal scenery, food culture, island time and heritage towns.
You begin in Seoul, at Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Palace and N Seoul Tower. Then the route heads east to Gangneung and the East Sea, for the Jeongdong-Simgok Badabuchae coastal trail, Anmok Coffee Street and Ojukheon House, and takes in Sokcho and Gapyeong, where Nami Island is a highlight. Back via Seoul, you continue to Jeonju and its Hanok Village, fly to Jeju for a city tour, then spend time in Busan and finish with a panoramic tour of Gyeongju, the old Silla capital, before returning to Seoul.
You stay 13 nights in six 3-star hotels on bed and breakfast, with private transfers, English-speaking guides and entrance tickets as per the itinerary, a domestic flight and flights from London Heathrow with Virgin. The departure is in February, Korea's winter: expect cold, crisp days in Seoul and on the east coast, and milder weather in Busan and on Jeju. Tell us your dates and we'll confirm the details.
