Walk in the clouds on the Salar de Uyuni, wander the moon-like valleys around La Paz and stand before the Gate of the Sun at Tiwanaku: this trip packs Bolivia's great sights into one well-paced journey.
Your base is the 4★ Ritz Apart Hotel in La Paz, where you spend six nights in a Deluxe Suite with breakfast. From here guided tours take you to Moon Valley, the Valley of the Souls and the Killi Killi viewpoint, to the ruins of Tiwanaku and Puma Punku (lunch included), and to Lake Titicaca, with a ride on the city's cable car and out on the water in a traditional totora reed boat.

La Paz, Uyuni and Lake Titicaca are all above 3,600 m, so most people feel it at first. The trip starts gently, but take it easy, drink water and check with your doctor before you travel.
The mirror effect appears after rain, usually from January to March. From May to October the salt is dry, white and easier to cross, with clear skies.
