Safari in the north
Northern Tanzania is classic safari country. Arusha is the usual starting point, with Lake Manyara and the open plains of the Serengeti a drive away. Days follow the rhythm of the game drives: out early, back for lunch, out again in the late afternoon.
Zanzibar
Off the coast, Zanzibar turns the pace down. White sand, warm Indian Ocean water and Stone Town's narrow streets make it the natural place to finish a safari.
